DESCRIPTION
We will leave the lodge in 4x4 vehicles towards the farm where our adventure begins. Once in the star point of the activity and after meeting our local Gaucho guide, who will go as a backup guide, we will pack our equipment and we will begin the trek. After the hardest part of the trip, we will reach the summit ridge after a 4 hours trek (a slow trek in order to prevent any kind of accident and to save energy for the descent.
Half an hour later we will reach the base of the mount, where will take a rest and we will enjoy a delicious box lunch. We will be able to appreciate part of the landscape of the Cerro Lindero Magallanes´ southeast face, our main objective. Once concluded our lunch, the guide will give the safety instructions and walking techniques on rocky slopes and we will start the ascent towards the summit with a spectacular view. It will take us around one hour to reach the summit. There, in Lindero Magallanes summit, we will have a light snack in order to get our strength back, while we enjoy one of the most spectacular view points of the area. From there we can see the highest peaks of the Patagonia (Monte San Valentin, Cerro Aranales, and Cerro San Lorenzo), the General Carrera lake, the Bertrand lake, the Plomo lake, the Baker river, as well as the impressive glaciers, and all this is just part of what we can appreciate from this beautiful view point.
After the rest, we will begin our descent back for 3 hours until we reach the point where we began our adventure. Once there, we will load the 4x4 vehicles with our equipment and we will return toGBL.
